§ IThe shared-licence note
It is worth saying at the start: BetMGM UK and LeoVegas UK both operate under UKGC remote licence number 39198. They are presented to consumers as separate brands, with separate visual identities, separate marketing, and partially overlapping but distinct game catalogues. The regulated entity behind both is LeoVegas Gaming PLC, a wholly-owned MGM Resorts International subsidiary.
This is a purely UK arrangement and differs from the BetMGM US product, which sits under the BetMGM LLC joint venture between MGM Resorts and Entain. In the United Kingdom, "BetMGM" is a brand on the LeoVegas Gaming PLC licence, not a separate operator.2 Readers should not assume regulatory consequences (e.g. a sanction on one brand) carry across the Atlantic — the two products answer to different licence regimes.
§ IISportsbook UX
The sportsbook is the lead product. The home page surfaces in-play markets first; the bet slip is a persistent right-hand panel on desktop and a swipe-up sheet on mobile. Bet construction is fluent: an accumulator builds without leaving the markets view, with a live odds-update on each leg.
The in-play markets list is where the design effort shows. Latency from event to odds change in a tested football market sat consistently in the sub-three-second window on a stable home connection. Cash-out is reachable in two taps from the bet slip; the partial cash-out option, where available, is presented with a clear breakdown of the resulting position rather than a single "cash out" button without context.
§ IIILicence record
BetMGM UK operates under UKGC remote operating licence number 39198, held by LeoVegas Gaming PLC. The same licence covers LeoVegas UK (Entry IV on this site). Readers can confirm the licensee at gamblingcommission.gov.uk/public-register by searching either brand name; both surface the same licensee record.
The Commission's standard licensing disclaimer applies: this operator is licensed and regulated by the UK Gambling Commission to offer online betting and casino games in Great Britain.
§ IVCasino half
The casino tab is reachable from the main navigation but is visibly downstream of the sportsbook. Slots, live-dealer rooms, and table games are present, with provider attribution on every tile. Where the casino product overlaps with LeoVegas, the catalogue and the live-dealer studios are similar; that's an artefact of the shared regulated entity using shared supplier integrations rather than a problem.
§ VWelcome offer (functional description)
Per UKGC and ASA tightening on mixed promotions, the sports welcome and any casino welcome are presented separately, with their own eligibility, wagering, and expiry rules.3 Keel does not publish bonus amounts, percentages, or superlative claims.
§ VIResponsible gambling tooling
The RG tooling set is the full UKGC-required stack: deposit limits, loss limits, session limits, time-out, self-exclusion via GAMSTOP, and reality-check intervals. The sportsbook product carries an additional single-bet limit option and a wager-frequency cap, which can be useful for in-play players who find themselves placing more bets per minute than they intended.
Self-exclusion via GAMSTOP is reachable in two clicks from the account menu and from the responsible-gambling page. The standard 24-hour cooling-off period applies on upward limit changes.
§ VIIComplaint pathway
The complaint route is reachable from the support index. The internal procedure is published with an eight-week ceiling, after which referral to an approved Alternative Dispute Resolution provider is offered.4 The named ADR provider is shown on the same page.
